YOUR COLOUR CONSULTATION
What is it and how does it work?
Your colour consultation is a relaxed and enjoyable way to create beautiful paint colour schemes for your home. Whether you are overwhelmed by choice, looking to be more creative with colour or simply want someone to talk through your ideas with, your colour consultation will save you time, stress and umpteen unnecessary sample pots. Working together in your own home and using your ideas and style as a starting point; together we will create tailored colour palettes for any room in your house, even the tricky ones.
It is more than just picking a pretty colour for the wall; colour also has a massive impact on how you feel. Clever use of colour can influence the ‘mood’ of a room, creating a home that reflects your personality. Colour can be used to emphasise the proportions of a room, draw attention to architectural features, or hide ugly ones! There is so much more to choosing paint colours than just picking a sample pot from a colour chart.
How does it work?
There are three stages to your colour consultation:
Pre-visit phone call to discuss:
your project and your initial thoughts and ideas
what to expect at your visit
what you can do to prepare
Colour consultation visit:
we will walk through each room, sharing your ideas and the look you are hoping to achieve
I will suggest colour schemes based on this, taking into account any furniture or furnishings that are staying, the light, features and purpose of the room
we will then discuss the suggested schemes until we find your ideal one
we will work with paint colours from Farrow & Ball or Dulux, or a combination, depending on your preference
your colour consultation is tailored to you and is based on number of rooms, not time
After the visit you will receive:
a bespoke colour fan, containing swatches of all of your chosen colours
a schedule detailing which colour paint is for which surface, with photos if appropriate
“Olwyn's help with choosing colours has transformed the upstairs of our house. She spent a morning with me amid a (rather stressful) loft conversion to advise colours for four bedrooms and the hall/stairs/landing. Using our fabric swatches and taking on board the various preferences for the children's rooms, she guided us through different colours that I would never have considered. Each room is different but the whole scheme works together, so when the doors of the rooms are open, each colour complements the others around it. Olwyn produced a dedicated swatch book that helped us save hours and money on unnecessary tester pots. One of our best decisions was booking Olwyn!" Anna.
